Pune-based AI startup CurvetAI has raised Rs 6 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Merak Ventures, with participation from a group of angel investors.
The startup plans to use the fundingto strengthen its technology infrastructure, expand its team and develop AI agents capable of handling more complex tasks and workflows on behalf of users.
Founded in December 2025 by Vivek Dubey and Utkarsh Gupta, CurvetAI operates a platform that allows users to access and combine multiple AImodels within a single workspace.
Dubey studied design at the Symbiosis Institute of Design in Pune and previously worked at Infosys, Microsoft and Google, while Gupta, the startup’s co-founder and CTO, previously worked at Samsung and oversees CurvetAI’s engineering and technology infrastructure.
The startup’s next phase of development will focus on building agent-based products that can coordinate different AI capabilities and execute more complex tasks with greater autonomy.
The approach is intended to reduce the need for users to manually select and combine different AI models, with the platform taking on more of the work involved in managing these processes.
“As the number of specialised models grows, making AI genuinely useful will depend as much on choosing the right intelligence as on having access to it,” Dubey said.
The startup said it has crossed 100,000 monthly users globally, with India and the United States accounting for its largest markets. It has also begun generating revenue, although it has not disclosed its revenue figures, number of paying customers or valuation following the funding round.
Bringing multiple AI tools into one workspace
CurvetAI aims to address a growing challenge in the generative AI market, where users often need to switch between different platforms, manage multiple subscriptions and select specialised models to complete their work.
Its platform brings text, image, audio and video capabilities into a single visual workspace, allowing users to compare outputs from different AI models and connect tools within the same project.
The system is also designed to help identify which underlying AI model is best suited to a particular task, reducing the need for users to make that decision themselves.
“AI has become incredibly capable, but increasingly fragmented. The user is still expected to understand which model is best for a particular task and then figure out how to make different tools work together. We believe that complexity should sit with the platform,” said Vivek Dubey, co-founder and CEO of CurvetAI.
The startup initially operated as a platform for discovering AI tools and prompts. However, its founders found that helping users identify suitable products addressed only part of the problem, as they still had to move to other platforms to use them.
This prompted CurvetAI to shift towards a workspace where different AI capabilities could be accessed and combined within the same project.
Growing user base and industry collaborations
According to the startup, its platform is used by individuals, teams and educational institutions. It also provides AI model developers with a distribution channel to reach users, collect feedback and understand how their products are being used.
CurvetAI said it has collaborations with GnaniAI, Rumik AI and Alibaba, although it did not disclose the nature or commercial terms of these arrangements. The startup also said it is working with educational institutions across India.
Sheetal Bahl, founding partner at Merak Ventures, said the increasing complexity of the AI ecosystem presents an opportunity for platforms that simplify how people interact with different technologies.
“The best technology companies often emerge when a market becomes more complex than its users should have to understand, and Curvet saw that inflection early,” Bahl said.
The investmentcomes as CurvetAI prepares to expand beyond providing access to different AI models and towards developing agent-based capabilities designed to carry out multi-step workflows on behalf of users.
