The Shillong-headquartered startup plans to use its first institutional funding to accelerate product development, expand its workforce across India and the United States, and strengthen its sales and marketing efforts. It also plans to expand its presence in the Middle East.

Shamrock AI has offices in Hyderabad and San Francisco, alongside its headquarters in Shillong, Meghalaya.

Founded in 2026 by Sarat Addanki, Michael (Mick) Gallagher and Anuraag Nallapati, Shamrock AI is developing an agentic assurance platform designed to help large enterprises deploy AI agents reliably across critical business processes.

The startup already serves multiple Fortune 500 customers, including a Fortune 100 AI hardware manufacturer and a Fortune 100 healthcare company, according to the startup.

What does Shamrock AI do?

Shamrock AI is developing technology to help enterprises test and validate business processes as they deploy AI agents in complex operating environments.

AI agents are software systems capable of performing tasks and executing workflows with varying degrees of autonomy. However, deploying them across large organisations can be challenging because business operations often depend on interconnected software systems, data sources and processes.

To address this, Shamrock AI uses an Enterprise Business Knowledge Graph that connects an organisation’s business processes, systems, data and configurations. The technology is designed to give AI agents the operational context needed to carry out tasks across different enterprise systems.

The startup is initially focusing on agentic test lifecycle automation for large enterprise resource planning (ERP) transformations, including migrations to SAP S/4HANA, a software system used by businesses to manage core operations.

Its platform is designed to continuously test and validate business processes, building a more accurate representation of how an enterprise operates. This foundation is intended to support future applications in data observability and autonomous business process automation.

Data observability involves monitoring data quality, reliability and movement across systems, while business process automation uses software to carry out operational tasks with reduced human intervention.

Anuraag Nallapati, co-founder and head of product and strategy at Shamrock AI, said enterprises were moving beyond AI experimentation towards deploying agents in critical business operations.

“Enterprises are looking to move beyond AI experimentation and deploy agents across critical business processes, but doing so reliably requires a deep understanding of how their businesses operate. Shamrock AI is building the assurance layer that brings together processes, data and systems to give enterprises the confidence to adopt AI agents in production,” he said.

Shamrock AI’s expansion plans

The startup plans to expand its team across India and the US, with 70% to 80% of its workforce expected to be based in India. Core product development will be carried out in India, while client-facing teams in the US will support its international operations.

The startup is initially prioritising the US market, followed by Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.

Its target industries include high-tech manufacturing, retail, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, banking and financial services, and fashion and apparel.

Shamrock AI aims to reach about 15 Fortune 500-scale customers by the end of 2027. Its annual contract values typically start at around $200,000 and can exceed $2 million.

Anvesh Ramineni, partner at Endiya Partners, said accountability and independent validation remained major challenges for enterprises adopting AI systems.

He said “While enterprises are rapidly embracing AI, the fundamental challenge remains making AI systems accountable and independently validated in mission-critical business environments. Shamrock AI addresses this directly by building a business assurance layer that serves as the essential trust architecture to confidently automate and transform complex business processes.”
