Lab-grown diamond jewellery startup ONYA has raised Rs 12.5 crore in a pre-Series A funding round led by Divisa Family Office, as it looks to expand its retail network and strengthen its online business.
Existing investor Zeropearl VC also participated in the round. It had previously led ONYA’s Rs 5.5 crore pre-seed funding round in November 2025.
The Bengaluru-based startup said the latest funding will be used to open more stores, with Pune and Hyderabad among its initial areas of focus, while expanding its online presence and personalisation capabilities.
ONYA will also invest in research and development around jewellery design and manufacturing. It plans to grow through a combination of company-owned and franchise stores.
Building a design-led jewellery business
Founded in 2024 by Himani Yadav and Gaurav Choudhary, ONYA sells lab-grown diamond jewellery and has expanded to eight flagship stores across Bengaluru, Pune and Hyderabad within 20 months of starting operations. The startup has expanded to eight experience centres across Bengaluru, Pune and Hyderabad.
It is seeking to differentiate itself through jewellery design rather than competing primarily on price.
Its portfolio includes the ONYA Signature collection, which is inspired by Neoclassical architecture. The startup also markets what it calls the patented ONYA Setting, a setting used in its Signature collection.
ONYA offers certified lab-grown diamonds set in hallmarked gold, along with lifetime exchange and an 80% buyback on lab-grown diamonds based on their prevailing market value, subject to its policy terms.
Yadav has said the idea for ONYA grew out of her own experience of shopping for an engagement ring, which became her first lab-grown diamond purchase.
“ONYA was born from the belief that fine jewellery shouldn’t be locked away in safes for rare occasions-it should be lived in, cherished, and worn every day as an expression of personal identity,” he said.
The latest investment follows ONYA’s Rs 5.5 crore pre-seed round, which was led by Zeropearl VC in November 2025.
That round also included angel investors such as founders of MyGate and UrbanVault, according to the startup’s earlier funding announcement.
The new capital comes as investment in India’s lab-grown diamond jewellery sector increases.
