The company plans to use the fresh capital to expand its dental care operations across India and Southeast Asia, strengthen its manufacturing capabilities and invest in clinical centres, consumer experience and backend technology.

MakeO is also evaluating acquisitions of dental clinic chains and clear aligner businesses in both regions as part of its strategy to expand its offline presence.

The fundinground, announced on 13 October 2026, was also confirmed by Touchstone Partners, which advised MakeO on the transaction.

MakeO expands through acquisitions

The latest fundraise follows MakeO’s expansion into Southeast Asia through its combination with Singapore-based dental care startup Zenyum.

The two companies announced plans for a strategic merger in February 2026, with the transaction intended to bring Zenyum under MakeO’s holding structure. The combined business has since expanded its presence across several Asian markets.

In 2025, MakeO acquired Apple Dental, a chain of 20 dental clinics across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, for Rs 10.98 crore in a cash-and-stock transaction. The acquisition extended its physical presence beyond India’s major metropolitan cities.

Following these acquisitions, the combined group has a network of around 1,100 partner dentists across 10 countries. MakeO also reports operating more than 60 clinical centres and having served over 4 lakh consumers.

MakeO operates an integrated aligner planning and manufacturing facility in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), with an annual production output of more than one million aligners, according to the company.

Its products reach dentists and consumers across more than 150 Indian cities, while the Toothsi and Zenyum networks support exports to over 10 countries.

Arpi Mehta, group CEO and co-founder of MakeO, said the funding would support investments across the company’s dental care operations.

“It will allow us to invest in and strengthen our end-to-end platform across consumer experience, clinical centres, backend technology, and manufacturing facilities,” Mehta said.

MakeO’s previous funding and business growth

Founded in 2018 by Arpi Mehta, Pravin Shetty, Manjul Jain and Anirudha Kale, MakeO began with Toothsi, which provides clear aligners for teeth straightening.

In September 2022, the company brought Toothsi and skincare brand Skinnsi under the MakeO umbrella, expanding its offerings to include dental, skin and hair treatments through a single platform.

Before the latest investment, MakeO had reportedly raised more than $100 million from investors including Eight Roads Ventures, 360 ONE Asset and Paramark Ventures.

In June 2025, the company announced plans for a Rs 100 crore capital infusion from existing investors, structured in two tranches. This followed a $16 million funding roundin January 2024, led by 360 ONE Asset and the investmentoffice of investor Ashish Kacholia, with participation from existing investors.

On the financial front, MakeO said its combined business has crossed Rs 500 crore in revenue and achieved profitability at the earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) level earlier in 2026.

The company is now targeting a doubling of its revenue over the next two to three years as it expands its dental care network, manufacturing operations and technology services across India and other Asian markets.
